THE RETREAT CENTER

Journey to the vibrant Atlantic coast of Portugal.

Cocoon,  2 hours south of Lisbon, is a 275 acre coastal farm recently reviewed in Condé Nast Traveler as one of the 8 best farm stays in Europe.

Home to chickens, goats, peacocks, sheep, you and a fresh water lake, it’s a place where old growth pines sway in the breeze, carrying the scent of eucalyptus, lavender and wild rosemary.

Located in the costal Alentejo region, also known as The Costa Vincentina, minutes from the traditional fishing village of Zambujiera Del Mar, the area is known for its long stretches of untouched coastline and charming white washed villages.

Surf or horseback riding lessons are available for anyone interested, at an additional charge.

Morning and evening yoga practices will support you as you reorganize, reset and renew your practice. Drawing from  Katonah, Hatha, Yin, Restorative and Yoga Nidra yoga practices, the nourishing use of pranayama and meditation takes place as farm to table meals are prepared for you.

Striking coastlines, simple fishing villages, perfect surf on secret beaches await your feet as you explore this dynamic part of the world.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS

Ramesh and Elisa have travelled the world together leading retreats and are excited to be returning to Cocoon.

Elisa is inspired by the methodology of Katonah Yoga, which builds on her background of Yin, Aerial and Restorative Yoga. Her teaching blends the practical with the esoteric; expect her classes to be a deliciously inspiring and perspective-shifting journey.

Raised with the lens of Yoga since a young age, Ramesh delights in the meeting points of science and spirituality. A 3000 hour trained massage therapist, with almost 20 years of experience teaching Yoga, his classes are inspired, leveraging you into the fullest expression of yourself.

ABOUT THE CLASSES

Two daily practices take place in 2 different spaces: outdoors on a gorgeous platform beneath a canopy of pines; inside. in a beautiful high ceilinged, light filled studio.

Morning practice runs 2+ hours so that you can indulge in a full, deep and profound practice including meditation and pranayama. The evening classes will arc throughout the week, running from deeply restorative practices to activated and focused.

By the end of the week, expect to feel refreshed and radiant!

The retreat center is a 2 hour drive south of Lisbon International Airport. You may take a taxi, rent a car, or the option to carpool will also be presented.

500€ Deposit secures your spot on the trip and is not refundable.

Refunds for the balance payments vary depending on timing. For Cancellation requests submitted with more than 30 days of retreat date: 100% of total amount (less deposit) will be refunded. For cancellation requests submitted within 30 days of retreat date, 50% of total amount (less deposit) will be refunded. Cancellation requests within 14 days of retreat: sorry but no refunds given, no exceptions. Nobody books a retreat with the intention of cancelling but unexpected events occur, so please consider purchasing travel insurance.

Exceptions cannot be made for any reasons, including weather, injury/illness, personal emergencies or cataclysmic world events. No refunds or credits will be granted for failure to attend, complete or for arriving late or leaving early.
